The Onyx Apartment Hotel by NEWMARK

Friendly and helpful staff. Central Location. The apartment was clean and had everything required. Breakfast was okay. Dinner option was Asian Restaurant which was a negative for me. 4th Floor has beautiful, heated pool (part of it under cover). Beautiful views from the 4th floor patio/pool/seating area. There was a gym and spa too. Smoking allowed on the patio of the 4th floor only. There was a bar there too and it is very peaceful and quiet. The bar serves food from the breakfast/lunch restaurant which is only open until 3pm. From there on if you want food without leaving the accommodation you can only get it from the Asian Restaurant. The outside patio on the 4th floor could use a couple of umbrellas for shade (it is completely without any cover).

Great hotel to stay in. Clean and comfortable. Good bed, friendly staff. Location is also good, but as it is in the CBD, there is a small walking distance to Long Street, Waterfront, or Waterkant. Breakfast is also good. Oh and the massage...heaven!!

Staff amazing and friendly. Breakfast Market restaurant was good but bit limited. 2 bed apartment stunning and super clean and cleaned daily. Excellent bed and shower and great curtains to keep morning light to minimum. Kitchen well appointed with all equipment you need plus washing machine. Asian restaurant in hotel outstanding. Spa wonderful and pool small but kods loved as heated, a rare thing in SA. We stayed a week with 3 children 14, 4 and 6 months old and hotel were very accommodating and helpful.

Central location. The CTICC bus stops for the hop on hop off sightseeing bus (red route and blue route) are just behind the hotel and a few minutes walk. The staff are amazing and provide great customer service by going out of the way to help out. Had a cancelled flight which meant that had to stay one additional night. Bronwyn, Randall and André were extremely helpful. The studio apartment room which you get is fitted with all that you can dream and think of using. The kitchen with cooking facilities (hot plates, toaster, oven, microwave and all cooking utensils, cutlery, plates and cups) is just amazing. The room design has been very well thought of. The breakfast at the MRKT restaurant was great. A lot of choices at the buffet and also à la carte. Staff can customise the menu depending on food restrictions. The Yu restaurant is just amazing.

I stayed here for a conference as the hotel is conveniently located next to the conference center. I can highly recommend staying here. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Breakfast was amazing. In addition to the buffet you can chose from a menu. The restaurant in which the hotel guests have breakfast also has really tasty lunch options and the Yu restaurant has really good food as well.
